“A fabulous trip, and we were so delighted to see such a variety of birds up close-especially the Puffins, Arctic Terns and their chicks, and Cormorants. The Seal colonies were impressive too. The Chapel was lovely, and the woodwork particularly impressive. We were lucky with the weather, and the only thing that would have improved the outing is the commentary being louder. It was really informative but quite hard to hear over the noise of the engine. Ticket staff, Crew and National Trust staff couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming. We saw the Shetland ponies, the puffins nesting among the hillside at the lighthouse and foghorn station. And took a tour of ancient Viking village ruins. Dress warmly as the island is very windy chilly even with the sunny skies. Danny also directed us to the local cafe/restaurants for some delicious fish n chips. Would highly recommend doing the private tour.”
